In accordance with RCW 34.05.325, the Energy Facility Site Evaluation Council (EFSEC) will hold a rule-making hearing to take public comment on Proposed Rules (CR-102) filing with changes to all but two chapters of Title 463 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC) related to EFSEC.
What is EFSEC is proposing to do?
The purpose of the rule revisions is to bring all EFSEC rules into alignment with its statute as amended in E2SHB 1812 in 2022 and other statutes, such as the Environmental Health Law Reorganization (SHB 2246 of 2020)."
All proposed changes either: 1) only affect internal agency operations not subject to violation by a person; 2) adopt or incorporate Washington state statutes or rules of other state agencies; 3) correct typographical errors, make address or name changes, or clarify language without changing its effect; or, 4) are content explicitly and specifically dictated by statute.
The public comment period will be open from October 16, 2024 through November 6, 2024 5:00pm PST.
